Gardens
It was the 6th Duke who had a keen interest in gardening and commissioned designer Humphry Repton to transform the grounds when he inherited them.
Today our tranquil gardens remain full of beautiful plants and trees, and an impressive addition to Woburn Abbey. Visitors can enjoy 22-acres of inspirational informal gardens and follow the Garden Trail and find out more about the history of the gardens, the trees and plants and our future plans to recreate part of Repton’s original vision for the Pleasure Grounds.
There are also free quiz booklets available for all children so they can join in on the trail and discover lots of fun facts.
