The Woburn Abbey Garden Show
Whether you are a gardening expert, handy with a trowel or never potted a plant before, all are welcome at ‘The Gardener’s Garden Show’, back for its fourth year on the 22nd and 23rd June.
Offering something for everyone in a friendly and accessible environment, you can enjoy an introduction to gardening, the opportunity to hone or learn new gardening skills and purchase wonderful plants and garden items. Set against the stunning backdrop of Woburn Abbey, ‘The Gardener’s Garden Show’ offers visitors the best location of any show in the UK, taking place within the 28 acres of Abbey Gardens looking their absolute summer best to explore.
The 2013 Show
Gardening Experts
For the first time we welcome garden designer and television personality Diarmuid Gavin to the Show. Diarmuid will be in the main demonstration tent as well as on the Q&A panel on both days. He will be joined by a favourite from last year' Show - Pippa Greenwood, a regular contributor on BBC Radio 4's Gardener's Question Time.
As well as the Main Stage the Demonstration Marquee will be returning. Here you will meet many of the people behind the nurseries and companies exhibiting at the Show who will be sharing their expertise and top tips.
Top UK nurseries
It is a great opportunity to pick up some weird and wonderful plants. Some of the top UK nurseries will be attending, including RHS Medal winners Crûg Farm Plants, Chris Cooke Plants and Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, so you are sure to get your hands on some top quality plants. Whether you have a courtyard garden, a window box or a large country garden, there will something for everyone to help transform their outdoor space.
The very best of everything
In addition to the plant nurseries the retail experience covers a wide variety of gardening products including furniture, decorations, bbqs, tools and hardware. Plus if you want a tasty treat to take home, the Food Hall will have over 30 suppliers, from across the UK, selling their great produce.
Official opening
As part of the ongoing restoration of Woburn Abbey's historic gardens, Her Grace, the Duchess of Bedford, will be opening two new areas at the show. On Saturday the second phase of the Children's Garden and on Sunday the new Cone House - both of which are based on Humphry Repton's original plans from 1805-1810.
An event for everyone
There's live music throughout the day to keep everyone entertained. Plus lots of opportunities to relax and have a bite to eat. All tastes are catered for as you enjoy the Gardens view and take time for tea or a glass of something chilled!
