Worked on a finely woven cloth, the names of the counties and principal rivers of England & Wales are embroidered in minute black cross stitch. The map is surrounded by a colourful garland of carefully embroidered flowers to include rosebuds, jasmin, cornflowers, carnations and fuchsia.
