Woburn Abbey Study Day
For the first time Woburn Abbey will be opening its doors during its closed season for a study day open to the public on the 6th October 2010.
This will be an exclusive opportunity for a limited number of groups to focus in depth on the 18th century interior of the house and the magnificent Sevres porcelain in situ. Experts on the day include BBC Antiques Roadshow expert John Bly, Head Curator at Woburn Abbey and Manager of Woburn Abbey Antiques Centre.
The Study Day includes a private tour of the house and time for discussion and questions over refreshments and lunch and will run from 9.30am to 17.00pm.
Study days must be pre-booked in advance of the day and are subject to availability. Priced at £85 per person or £160 for two people to attend.

Winemakers Dinner at The Inn at Woburn
Join us for a wonderful evening of fine wines and fabulous food at The Inn at Woburn on Friday 22nd October.
The evening celebrates the fine food and wines of the Loire, France and is hosted by Nigel Strofton of Edward Sheldon Fine Wines who has over 50 years experience in the wine trade. Your evening will commence with a drinks and canapes reception, followed by a four course gourmet dinner with a menu created by our 2AA Rosette French chef Olivier Bertho.
Each course will be accompanied by a different wine, specially selected to complement each dish.

Gardening Lunch and Tour
The Sculpture Gallery provides a stunning setting for our gardening lunch, followed by a private tour of the Woburn Abbey gardens.
2010 is the 200th anniversary of the completion of Humphrey Repton’s plans for the gardens at Woburn Abbey and provides an opportunity to see the gardens and hear about their amazing history.

Gardening Masterclasses
Join in with our free gardening masterclasses in propagation, potting, pruning and turf maintenance throughout the year.
A series of free gardening masterclasses are available throughout 2010 within the beautiful surroundings of the Woburn Abbey Gardens. With workshops in propagation, potting, pruning and turf maintenance you can come along and pick up useful hints and tips from the Abbey Gardens team.
Our next workshops in Pruning will be held on the 28th, 29th August and the 4th, 5th September 2010.
Our next workshops in Turf Maintenance will be held on 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th September and 2nd, 3rd November 2010.

The Travelling Souk
The Travelling Souk makes a welcome return to The Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey this winter, with an amazing array of stall holders selling unique and exotic wares. The event will not only provide a great opportunity to shop for unusual Christmas or birthday gifts, but will help to contribute vital support to several charities including MK Snap.
A preview evening including reception and drinks will be held on Monday 1st November from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.
Tickets are available to purchase online, or on the day. Discounts are available online. Entrance at the door will be £15 per person for the preview evening and day, and £5 per person for the day.

British Heart Foundation Woburn Abbey Jog
Now in its fourth year, the Woburn Abbey Jog is back. Walk, jog or run 1 or 2 laps of the 5 kilometer route which meanders through the scenic Deer Park, and help raise money for the nation's heart charity.
Warm up starts at 10.50am
Jog starts at 11.00am
Entry
Pre-registration for this event is highly recommended to guarantee your place.
Participants aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over on the jog.
On the day registration opens from 9.30am
What’s the route?
Participants can run, walk or jog either 1 or 2 laps of the 5k course. Just please try and raise as much sponsorship as you can to save lives!
The jog starts and finishes from near the main car park or Woburn Abbey. Directional signage will be in place on the day to assist you.
Anything else I need to know?
Woburn Abbey is easy to get to, simply follow the brown tourism signs from junction 13 of the M1.
Team entries - each participant is required to complete a separate entry form.
Free water is available for participants on the day.
All participants will receive a free t-shirt and commemorative medal on the day.
Do I have to raise sponsorship?
Whilst the British Heart Foundation are grateful for any money received from sponsorship they do ask that in 2010 everybody aims to raise at least £20 to significantly help the fight against Heart Disease.
