Woburn Junior Charley Hull Continues to Impress

Having won the Harder Hall Women’s Invitational and finishing third in the South Atlantic Amateur Championship, 15 year old Charley Hull has reached the quarter finals in her defence of the Ione Jones Doherty Challenge Cup.  There are two Woburn members in the quarter finals with Harriet Beasley also geting through.  This is the final of three events Charley and Harriet are competing in on Florida’s Orange Blossom Tour. 

Charley is currently ranked 6th in the Women’s Amateur World Rankings with fellow Woburn member 17 year old Lauren Taylor in 20th position.  Lauren is the current Women’s British Amateur Champion and prior to Christmas won the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award for 2011.
