
Tournaments
Since 1976, Woburn Golf Club has hosted some of the top golf tournaments in Europe. This includes everything from the British Masters, Women's British Open Championship and Senior European Tour to the Prince of Wales Amateur Challenge Trophy. Winners at Woburn read like a who’s who of golf and include Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Ian Woosnam, Justin Rose, Liselotte Neumann, Carl Mason, Karrie Webb, Mark James and Tony Johnstone.
British Masters
Three years after opening in 1976, Woburn hosted the 1979 Dunlop British Masters on the Duke's Course. This started a proud tradition at Woburn whereby the club has tested the world's best golfers, young and old, male and female, amateur and professional, on a regular basis. Woburn winners include: Graham Marsh, Greg Norman, Lee Trevino, Sandy Lyle, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam, and Justin Rose.
Form 1985 to 1994 under the sponsorship of Dunhill the British Masters was played on the Duke’s Course. The tournament returned to the Duke’s Course under the sponsorship of Victor Chandler in 1999 and 2000 before switching to the Marquess Course in 2001 and 2002.
Heritage Tournament
Following Europe's success in the Ryder Cup matches in 2004, the Heritage Tournament was hosted on the Dukes’ course. The event, won by Henrik Stenson, was held in recognition of Ken Schofield’s retirement after 30 years at the helm of European Tour.
Ladies Tour
Woburn hosted the Ladies Tour for the first time in 1982 with the Ford Ladies Classic which was played on the Duke’s Course from 1982 to 1984 and then moved to the Duchess Course from 1985 to 1994. In 1984 the Hitachi Women’s British Open was hosted on the Duke’s Course returning as the Weetabix Women’s British Open from 1991 to 1999. Winners of these events have included Helen Alfredsson, Patty Sheehan, Liselotte Neumann, Catrin Nilsmark, Laura Davies and Karrie Webb.
Seniors Tour
Woburn hosted the Seniors Tour for the ninth time in 2009 with the Travis Perkins PLC Senior Masters. The event was a great success with Tony Johnstone winning by one stroke from Peter Senior following a fantastic 66 in the final round.

Woburn Open Competitions
Following the popularity and success of the Open Competitions staged in 2009 we will be repeating the events again in 2010. Entry Forms for the Open Competitions in 2010 will be available on the website soon.

Woburn Golf Club offers lessons for golfers of all levels and abilities and are available for members and non-members.
