Guided Tour Options
Tour the Safari Park, House and Gardens in your own time, purchase an audio tour or guidebook or pre- book a guided tour to offer an entirely new perspective on the experience.
The following guided tours are available in 2010:
Woburn Abbey
- Abbey Tour: Reveals further secrets of the history of Woburn Abbey, the stories and details of the collections.
- Special Interest Tour: Tailored for groups with an interest in a particular collection or historic aspect. 25 minute talk with the standard guided tour. Popular choices include the Canalettos, Sevres porcelain and silver and gold collection
All tours last approximately 1 ½ hours and are also available in French, German or Italian.
Woburn Abbey Gardens
- Gardens Tour: Find out about the plants, trees and features of the private and public gardens with one of our experienced guides.
- Repton’s Red Book Tour: Explains in detail Humphry Repton’s theories, processes and achievements at Woburn.
- Behind the Scenes Tour: Covers how the team care for the Gardens all year round, the plant nursery, compost plant, restoration projects, ‘tricks of the trade’ and the tool shed!
All tours last between 1 ½ and 2 hours and are on foot. Mobility buggies are available for hire free of charge, please advise upon booking.
Woburn Safari Park
- Safari Park Guide: Book a Ranger to join you on your coach to tell your group all about life at the Park and the animals on the Safari Drive.
The drive through the reserves takes approximately one hour.
Group Lunches, Food and Drink
Whether you want a hot meal, a snack, afternoon tea or an overnight stay there are many different options for group bookings at Woburn. Group lunches can be booked in the Safari Restaurant, Duchess Tea Room or at the award-winning Olivier’s Restaurant at the Inn at Woburn.

Situated in the heart of the attractive Georgian village of Woburn, the Inn at Woburn provides a convenient place to meet and offer high standards of service and hospitality. The Inn has 50 bedrooms and 7 cottages.
