Commercial Services Assistant - Leisure (fixed term)

The Commercial Services Team are looking for additional seasonal staff to join them on a variety of contracts until the end of November 2014.  As we are open at key holiday times you will be expected to work weekends and Bank Holidays.

Working as part of the Commercial Services team you will be expected to provide high levels of customer care at all times.  Specifically to ensure that the Leisure areas are presentable and that the facilities offered to the public are used correctly and in safe working order to maximise visitor satisfaction.  This role could involve manning attractions such as the mammoth play ark, swan boats or Bobcat, running the 3D cinema, accompanying the Great Woburn Railway or possibly being an instructor on Tree Tops Junior High Ropes course.

We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate a passion for delivering a high standard of customer care within a team environment. Good people and communication skills are essential; no two days are the same therefore an adaptable, flexible attitude is also required.

Previous experience of working within a customer focused environment is essential as would an understanding of the Leisure industry. As this role will involve working outside you should be prepared to work in all weathers.

Reporting to the Head Chef and working in a busy kitchen you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of food production whilst working alongside a team of highly experienced skilled chefs. Visitor Experience Assistants

The Abbey Visitor Experience Team is currently recruiting part time seasonal staff to join them from April until November 2014, on an ‘as & when’ basis.  Weekend and Bank holiday working will be required as will ‘special event’ days.

You will be required to work across the Abbey visitor areas; which will include selling admission tickets, selling retail products in the shop, assisting in the tea rooms through to carrying out orientation talks and supporting the events programme.

You will be expected to provide high levels of customer care at all times, to ensure visitors have an outstanding and memorable experience when visiting the Abbey.
