ONE DAY WORKSHOPS 2011
The hugely popular 'Wild Workshops' return in the summer of 2011, for another chance to enjoy a fun-packed day of meeting the Woburn Safari Park animals close up.
Come along for a hands-on encounter and a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at Woburn Safari Park.
Each type of workshop has been adapted to different age groups so every day is different! Choose from one day workshops which run from 9.00am to 3.30pm or click for one week holiday workshops.
Young Zoologist Day 1
This workshop introduces children to the animals at the Park and how we care for them. There is an opportunity to meet and help the keepers with many hands on experiences with the animals in our 'Foot Safari'.
19th April 5 – 7 year olds
20th April 8 – 12 year olds
21st April - 12 years and older
Primate Day
This workshop looks at some of the primates housed at the Park. Using the lemurs and squirrel monkeys as a focus to help the children learn about these and other primates using hands on activities.
31st May 5 – 7 year olds
1st June 8 – 12 years old
Working with Animals Day
A specially designed day for young people that want to find out more about working with animals consisting of opportunities to meet keepers to find out about their jobs as well as practical advice while carrying out hands on activities.
2nd June & 27th October – 12 years and older
Young Zoologist Day 2
Following on from 'Day 1' this workshop provides more hands on experiences and opportunities to meet the rest of the 'Foot Safari' animals while helping the keepers with daily tasks.
30th August 5 – 7 year olds
31st August 8 – 12 years old
Halloween Themed Workshops
New for 2011 – Workshops using Halloween as a theme to give the children the chance to learn about some of the animals whilst helping the keepers and having hands on experiences.
25th October 5 – 7 year olds
26th October 8 – 12 year olds
