Visitor Access

We welcome people with disabilities and look forward to making your day as enjoyable as possible.

Safari Drive

Transport around the animal reserves is in your own car/minibus/coach. All vehicles take the same route and the drive takes approximately one hour. You can tour the reserves as often as you like during the day.

Wild World Leisure Area

The majority of the Leisure Area is accessible by wheelchair although movement around the attractions can sometimes involve a steep gradient. See Road Safari maps for location of any gradients on site.

Great Woburn Railway

If you need assistance boarding the train, please ask the driver to help or to reserve the wheelchair accessible carriage should you need that facility.

Rainbow Landing Aviary

Wheelchairs are welcome in this attraction and staff are available in the reception area, to give advice before your enter the Aviary.

Safari Restaurant

All entrances allow disabled access and the food counter is also accessible. Some tables are available with movable seating to enable wheelchair access and staff are happy to assist with taking trays to tables.

Junglies Gift Shop

Most aisles are accessible by wheelchair. Staff are also happy to assist disabled visitors tour the shop on a 'one to one' basis wherever possible, helping them with their shopping.

Wheelchair Hire

A limited number of wheelchairs are available from Junglies Gift Shop on the day of your visit, free of charge. It is advisable to book in advance by calling Junglies Gift Shop on 01525 290826.

Disabled Concessionary Rates

Disabled visitors are entitled to a discounted entry rate of £9.95 per person. If needed one accompanying adult will be admitted as a carer at the same rate. To qualify for this rate your disability blue badge MUST be shown when entering the park (one badge needed per person).

Animal Demonstrations & Keeper Talks

Throughout the day in our Leisure Area, we have a varied programme of animal talks and demonstrations. These are open to the general public and there is no need to pre-book. Information regarding the animal demonstrations and attractions will be handed to you on arrival at the Safari Park.

All demonstrations/keeper talks are accessible by wheelchair, with space available either at the back or at the sides of the tiered seating, depending on the demonstrations/keeper talks. Please make yourself/your group known to a member of staff at the beginning of a demonstrations/keeper talks, in case of emergency evacuation.

Walk-Through Animal Exhibits

Australian walkabout has a specially designed route for wheelchair users.'Monkey Business' and Land of the Lemurs are also accessible by wheelchair.

Disabled Parking

Parking bays are provided for blue badge holders in the main Leisure Area car park.

Disabled Toilets

These are located at the main entrance to the park, in the Safari Restaurant, in the Mammoth Ark play area, outside the Animal Encounters area, in the main toilet block by Junglies gift shop and adjacent to the Badger Valley play area.

First Aid

Please approach any member of Woburn staff who will immediately contact one of the qualified first aiders on site.

Hearing Loops

Hearing loops are fitted at till points throughout the Safari Park.

Terms & Conditions of Entry

  • Visitors enter at their own risk. The company accepts no liability for damage to vehicles unless negligent practices are proven. A bypass is provided so you can avoid the monkey section.
  • No pets or dogs are permitted into the Safari Park and kennel facilities are not provided.
  • Soft tops and convertibles are allowed in the Safari Park. However there are restrictions - they cannot enter Tigers, Bears & Wolves, Lion Park or Monkey Jungle. Standard admission applies.
  • The Park is a non smoking area and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Park walls.
  • No motorbikes and barbeques are allowed in the park.
  • The speed limit in the Park is 15 mph and must be kept to at all times.
  • Once within the animal reserves you must stay in your vehicle AT ALL TIMES. If you have any problems then please sound your horn and wait for assistance.
  • Woburn Safari Park reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the site should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.
  • When visiting Woburn Safari Park you MUST travel around the Park in your own vehicle. Transport will not be provided unless you are taking a VIP Tour.
