WARNING: RUTTING SEASON IN PROGRESS
- KEEP YOUR DISTANCE: For your safety, do not approach any deer. Stay at least 100 metres away from all deer. Use binoculars for a closer view.
- DO NOT DISTURB: Never attempt to touch, feed, or photograph deer at close range. Rutting males can be unpredictable and aggressive.
- DOGS MUST BE ON LEADS: Keep dogs on a short lead at all times. If possible, avoid bringing dogs into the park during rutting season.
- STICK TO FOOTPATHS: Remain on marked footpaths and do not enter areas where deer are gathered or displaying rutting behaviour.
- BE ALERT: If a deer approaches or appears agitated, back away slowly and calmly. Do not run or make sudden movements.
- RESPECT PARK RANGERS: Follow any instructions from park rangers.
- REMEMBER: Deer are wild animals. Your caution helps protect both you and the deer during this important natural event.
